Job Description:
ABC has a great opportunity for a full-time position within our Production team in our facilities in Fortune Bay and Rollo Bay, PEI. The individual filling this role will be a member of the production team and provide support to our broodstock, research and development, and commercial farming activities. The successful candidate will be expected to perform such tasks as fish husbandry, data collection, sample collection, spawning, water quality management and testing, routine calibration and maintenance of facility equipment equipment, and working with the team to maintain a clean, safe working environment.

Background we are looking for:
Do you have experience working with animals? It doesn’t have to be with fish, although that helps. Knowledge of any livestock production methods, or just animal husbandry in general, makes it easier to learn about fish farming. Our Production Associates are responsible for raising the eggs and fish, providing all the day-to-day care needed, such as feeding, handling and sorting, assessing health status and monitoring the quality of the water in which the fish live.
Do you have mechanical, electrical or plumbing skills? Our complex rearing systems also need constant care and attention. Pumps, motors, engines, HVAC, chillers, filters, UV sterilizers, lighting, piping and many more pieces of equipment, all play an integral role in maintaining an optimal environment for our fish to thrive in. Our Maintenance Technicians are tasked with ensuring that these systems are in good working order.
• Competitive wages • Medical, vision, and dental benefits • RRSP package • Vacation and personal leave • Training
